Q. Can I have an advert if I don't have a website?

Yes. As long as you can send and receive emails and can supply us with text and good quality photographs of your property.

Q. Can I have an advert if I don't have email?

Yes. To help you monitor enquiries generated from our site, a trackable phone number and a web link to your website will be added to your advert. We can also integrate with your online booking partner, if applicable, (see below).

Q. What if I don't have email or a website?

You will need at least one of these; otherwise you would be unlikely to receive a good level of booking enquiries.

Q. What if I don't have good photos of my property?

Good quality photos are essential if you want to get good results – people visiting our sites can only make a judgment on what they can see. Generally, the better the photos the better your results on our sites, so try to make sure you get good ones.

Q. Can I monitor my booking enquiries?

With your password you can access your control panel and monitor your email and phone enquiries. You can also see the number of visitors who have clicked through to your own website.

Q. I use an online booking system - can you work with it?

There is a huge consumer demand for online booking – we recognise this and we have integrated with many major partners including: Freetobook; Super Control; Guestlink; Siteminder; MyUK Travel; Ibex; Queensborough; Eviivo; Booking.com; Laterooms.

Q. Can I still get commission-free bookings with iknow?

Yes. All iknow customers can still obtain commission-free bookings when advertising on our sites. No commissions are paid if a site visitor decides to contact your property and make a booking by phone, email or through your website. All contact options will remain prominently displayed for consumers to choose which method they want to use.

Q. What if I don't use online booking?

Your advert will be displayed on our websites in the same way If you use the iknow calendar and regularly keep it up-to-date, you'll also appear in availability search results.

Visitors will make bookings by phone, email or through a link to your website.

Overall there's a shift towards more and more people preferring online booking - increasingly you'll limit your booking potential if you don't give potential guests the option to book online.

Q. Can I choose how I pay for my advert?

We have different ways you can pay for your advert to suit you. We have a fixed annual fee which can be paid in full at the time of purchase or you can choose to pay through monthly direct debits. For more information about payment methods call 0800 064 3333.

Q. What other marketing can you offer me?

FAQs for Existing Customers

Q. How do I log-in?

To log-in to your control panel visit cp.iknow-uk.com. It will ask you for an email and a password. If you've forgotten either of these please contact our customer support team on 0844 372 9090 and they will send you your details.

Q. I can't find myself on your website.

If you haven't already, try typing the name of your property in the 'Find Accommodation' section at the top of any iknow website. If you still can't find yourself, it may because you have not filled in your availability or prices which will stop you being shown in some searches.

Q. Can I add special offers?

Yes - In your control panel click on 'Options & Features' and 'Special Offers'. Click on 'Add' and enter your special offer details. Make sure you clearly state the price before and after the offer and make it clear when it is available and what conditions apply. Once completed, click the 'Save' button.

Each offer is manually checked by our staff within 24 hours to ensure they are all clear and correct.

Q. Do the email enquiries come to me directly?

Yes, the email enquiries will be sent directly to your email address. No booking enquiries will come to us first – they are sent directly to you.

Q. Can I change my photos?

Yes - you can load, store and publish your own photos to appear in your Photo Gallery, and you can select the best 4 photos to feature on the main page of your advert.

Simply log into your control panel and select Options & Features > Photo Gallery

Q. How do I change the text?

We'll be happy to make any text changes to your advert whenever you wish. You can send the changes directly from the control panel or you can email us with the changes you'd like to make along with your ID number and property name and we'll update your text for you.

Q. Any other tips for growing my business?

Yes - through our Wireless Social product you can stay in touch with everyone who stays at your property (not just the person who booked).

You can tailor make your marketing messages to promote repeat bookings and encourage friends and family of guests to make booking enquiries.
